MUSAEV SHAMISTAN MAMEDJAN OGLU
(1947 - 1992)

The former Senior Lecturer of Chair of "Optics and Molecular Physics" at the Baku State University, talented researcher. He was studying structure and functional properties of peptides and proteins. Graduated from the faculty of Physics at the Moscow State University, in 1973, he returned to Baku and began is working as a Lecturer at the Faculty of Physics of the Baku State Universiy. However not only teaching activity was interesting to him. He participated in the first large scientific project carried out at the Baku State University. He began to work at the Scientific Laboratory of Molecular Biophysics founded at the University and at first has been investigated the spatial structure of the trypsine inhibitor protein by the method of theoretical conformational analysis. In 1981 as a result of this activity, he defended his Candidate thesis on the Biological Faculty at the Moscow State Universi ty. Musayev Sh., the author over than 20 scientific publications, the lecturer who actively gived knowledge both to students and post-graduate students is dead early. He was always surrounded by the colleagues and students and tried to pass to them own experience and knowledge. We always will remember Musayev Sh., the unpretentious, good-natured person, purposeful and talented scientists…
