Azerbaian Biophysical Association plans a Scientific Seminar which will be held on December 5, 2001. The theme of the lecture is: "Influence of bivalent cations on the physical-chemistry properties of phospholipid membranes".
Invited speaker is Makhmudova Saadet, assistent of Khazar University.
Chairman: prof. Godjaev N.M., the president of ABA.
The purpose of the present research is the influence of different bivalent cations (beryllium,magnesium,calcium) on the basic physical and chemical properties of phospholipid membranes from synthetic lipids (DPPC). Were measured surface and boundary potentials of liposomes and planar lipid bilayers (BLM) and also change of gel/liquid crystal basic phase transition temperature at cations adsorption and carried out quantitative comparisons of effects caused by this phenomenon.
